I also like the HS teams idea. Our FB team was good, but I was 117 pounds at graduation (I got over that) so obviously not on the team. James Kenan Tigers, and our famous alum would be James "Bonecrusher" Smith. He was a couple years ahead of me and a genuinely nice guy. Wouldn't get in the boxing ring with the former world champion though.

Was looking at the pic of the freshman game above. Looks to me like the QB, FB, and LE are bigger than the lineman, lol. The back in the middle of the T formation ha, he may not be the FB, but I bet he's the one who gets the ball. It brought back another memory, my senior year, last game of the season, late in the 4th quarter, the coach put all the seniors in for the last series of offense plays. We lined up in the T formation, which we never used during the season, lol. Ran sweep left, sweep right, a dive with two backs blocking through the hole, a couple of short pass plays (I caught an out for a first down), and we got four first downs with it, didnt score, but we had a ball with it, like making up plays in pick up ball. I was lost when our season ended, we missed the PO's by one loss, we lost our star HB halfway through the season, or we would have made it. Can you tell it still bugs me?? over 50 years later? jeez .... Im way worse than Bundy.

Tough WC game AVC/Mounties, the Sents lucked out with the "Dirty" Sanchez run for 86 yds in the 4th to take the lead. The Sents run game had been stuffed the whole time up until that one run. The Mounties passing attack was real good, especially at the end of the first half.

Only other team Ive known named the Mounties was my Juco team, Mt San Antonio JC Mounties in Walnut, CA. I started off as a hot prospect, someone they didnt expect, I was there due to a fluke instead of going to UCLA on a ROTC scholarship. Funny how things go and change your life. That was most likely for the good, I was not good at accepting authority from dimwits, which was not a good thing for being in the military. Anyway, things didnt go well as a Mountie either, we only won one game my first year, against our arch rival Citrus JC., which was located real close in the area. We won because their center hiked the ball over the punters head and the ball went out of the end zone for a safety. We were a strange team, we almost beat the eventual state champ, Cerritos, our HC was horrible, he got fired at the end of that season, what a doof! We had a major scandal on the last game in San Diego, several had snuck a lot of booze on the bus, and half the team was hammered, including myself, by gametime. We lost by 30 or something. Several years later, after our former HC retired from being a PE teacher, he was coaching a Pop Warner team, lol. Ive got way too many football stories. The next HC came from a local HS, and he wanted to run nothing but a 2 TE offense, which left me way out in the cold. I quit the team after the first week of practice. They went winless that season, that old ^&*)*&( HC only lasted 2 seasons also.

So, the Sents go on to the Div playoffs, not bad for a team that lost its first round pick due to a manager that overslept on the opening draft day. I missed that first pick by a1/2 hour. ha! And I still dont like RO leagues.

Ditto cbb/Stars ... our Divisional was tight as a drum till the 4th qtr, and stayed tight till we broke through for only TD in the game with less than 2 min to go. Unfortunately, the Sents starting SS picked up a Q injury (foot-4 weeks), which does not make the CC game with the Orcas look good, and I still dont like RO, watching the play calling makes me cringe.

Will be interesting to see if I can change up the auto coaches offense play calls, which have been predominantly run plays, by benching injured RB1 and 2. Too many run plays, especially out of the GL formation, do not work as well as passing, especially on 3rd down and 5 or more vs a good defenselike the Orcas. Not going to do very well running the ball against them.

GG Orcas, HC lost his job on that one, lol. Too many run plays when behind. We had a chance to tighten it up till the pick thrown at end of 1st half followed by the TD that was given up. I still hate RO leagues.
